Restonic

Restonic is a good company to look into for finding a decent quality mattress for your money. They were founded in 1938 and have been doing a good job in manufacturing a somewhat lasting mattress. They offer 2 product lines, the ComfortCare Collection and the HealthRest Collection.

The Good

The pricing on Restonic is fair. Their products can range from $600 all the way up to $3,000. They use extra coils in the center of their ComfortCare Collection line to provide support for the lower back which really helps. The edge of these mattresses are also filled with a higher density foam making them more resilient and durable. The ComfortCare Collection has a good longevity and should last anywhere from 5-8 years. Restonic buys its latex from Latex Foam International, the same company that sells to Sealy, Simmons, and Sera. This means the latex model Restonic beds are pretty much the same quality as the bigger brands, but are in general cheaper.

The Bad

Though a Restonic mattress should get 5-8 years there have been a number of complaints about their memory foam models with sink holes in the first 3 months of owning one. This is pretty common with foam models, but Restonic lasts a little on the short side in comparison. Their warranty also states that a 1 1/2 inch wear is “normal wear” and that mattresses with those problems are not covered. This can be pretty tough as an inch and a half can make a huge difference in a good night’s sleep.
