There are many causes of poor circulation such as a heart condition, poor nutrition, a chronic disease such as diabetes, lack of exercise, genetics, stress and smoking. In addition, a poor mattress can either worsen or enhance a person’s poor circulation; especially if the mattress is in poor shape and has lost its elasticity and form. There are several ways you can tell if you need a new mattress; especially if you wake up in the morning and immediately notice back pain.

Keep in mind, there are several types of mattresses that can help with poor circulation such as an adjustable bed. An adjustable bed not only gives relief to one’s joints and back problems, it also takes the strain and discomfort from your back. Most importantly, an adjustable bed is an effective way to increase the circulation of blood in your body because it can be adjusted to your needs. Adjustable beds are also easy getting in and out of and that can be especially helpful if you suffer from arthritis or some other debilitating illness.

On the other hand, some prefer an air mattress. An air mattress can be particularly helpful for those who have to stay in bed for long periods of time. With an air bed, one can alter the firmness of the bed according to their particular needs. However, if an air mattress is not made firm enough one can wake up with back or neck ache.

Another kind of mattress is an innerspring mattress. This kind of mattress supports you with coil springs. Memory foam or latex is placed on top of innerspring mattresses; which give it a comfortable form. What some like about innerspring mattresses is that they come in a variety of firmness and fluffiness; however, springs can wear down and for some the comfort of an innerspring mattress is not what they envisioned it to be.

To conclude, there are many types of mattresses to choose from and the best way to find one that will fit your needs is to try them out. Some bedding experts agree that a customer should take time to lay on them to see if the mattress is too soft or too hard. By doing this, you will find a mattress that will be a comfortable fit for you!
